6the landmine problem is one of the most serious and dangerous issues in the world.every day, hundreds of people lose their lives or are injured due to landmines and unexploded ordnance left behind from conflicts. explosive devices not only cause death andinjury but also hinder the social and economic development of entire regions, impede thereturn of people to their homes, and obstruct the restoration of agriculture and infrastructure. Azerbaijan is among the countries that have faced this problem for years.in our country, the landmine issue is a consequence of the conflict with Armenia.According to approximate estimates, nearly 1.5 million landmines have been laid acrossKarabakh and east Zangezur.Creating safe conditions for the restoration and reconstruction of these territories, thereturn of former internally displaced persons to their native lands, and implementing largescale projects in Karabakh and east Zangezur have been identified as key priorities forAzerbaijan. in this regard, the Mine Action Agency of the republic of Azerbaijan (AnAMA),as the authorized and primary executive body in this field, carries out extensive mineclearance operations in the liberated territories while also planning, coordinating, managing,and overseeing all activities related to humanitarian mine clearance.Mina problemi d%u00fcnyan%u0131n %u0259n ciddi v%u0259 t%u0259hl%u00fck%u0259li probleml%u0259rind%u0259n biridir.
